DAVID'S BIO

From 1994 through to 1999
David worked for a company called Liferaft Systems Australia as a marine evacuation systems technician - Building giant 100 person inflatable liferafts for passenger ferrying vessels and defence force ships around the world. He specialised as a supervisor in high frequency welding, the production of high strength bonding of materials and the installation of the evacuation systems onto the vessels.

From 1999 - 2002
He changed course and went in search of the latest IT crazes. Mobile hones had only just become accessible to general public use, so he found a home as a sales consultant with mobile phone company Lets Talk - Lets talk was telecommunication company that specialised in procurement and supply mobile phone technologies in a retail enviroment.

In 2002 -2009 Telecommunication company Fone Zone took over the company and he began a career in retail and sales management. Through out this time he would be nationally recognised annually as one of the most successful and dominant retail managers in the country and was highly skilled at building sales teams.

2009 - Would also see David and his wife open their own fashion retail outlet whilst still working for FoneZone.

In 2009 - 2014, He diversified his IT focus and joined an Apple premium Dealership by the name of Next Byte. Next Byte was Australia’s biggest Apple dealer. Here he would oversee Retail sales and training, Corporate sales team management of huge state government sector account that would include the department of education , Justice department, department of primary industries and much more. He would increase his portfolio skillset to include the growth and implementation as an Apple service repair agent through out the state. During his time here he would diversify Next bite to also be a Telstra dealership and would see him receive multiple national awards of recognitions as the most successful and profitable business within the the ASX listed Vita group company. The Vita Group was Australia's largest Telstra premium Dealer and largest Apple Dealer with annual turn over of 300,000,000 Dollars annually.

2014 - He jumped at an opportunity to retire and become a stay home dad to his new 2 young children while his wife focused on the growth and expansion of their family business.

Late 2015 - An opportunity to be a part of the Scala team for a few hours a week took his interest and again he would diversify his skill set and implement it in an alternative way that would help the training of young people in the customer service industry.
As Scala is extremely proud of its dedication to the importance of a strong family and work/life balance, David was able to commit to grow with Scala as the company expanded and diversified to become a Business development focused company. This supported him to be able to commit more time during school hours whilst his children attended school.

Quirky things he finds funny in life -

- Always being drunk under the table by my wife when drinking beer.
- when people trip over with their hands in their pockets
- when dogs walk into glass doors they don’t realise are there
- scaring my children so they scream then get angry at me
- when a waiter brings a rare cooked 400 gram steak and chips with a beer to the table, puts it in front of me, then is told that is actually for my wife and the little 150 gram steak with red wine is mine.

I enjoy starting several new project round the house and having them all half finished for a minimum of 1 - 2 years .
